We’ve got an NL West clash on our hands with a struggling Zac Gallen (5.13 ERA, 1.31 WHIP) on the mound for the Arizona Diamondbacks and Blake Snell (1.97 ERA, 1.37 WHIP) getting the start for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Gallen has been a shell of himself this year, falling in the 14th percentile in pitching run value and 19th percentile in xERA. While Gallen’s counterpart has had a much smaller sample size in 2025, Snell has shown no signs of trouble with 3 scoreless starts in his 6 appearances this season. 

It’s no secret the Dodgers offense has been one of the best in baseball, ranking 3rd in wOBA and 2nd in wRC+ in 2025. I expect the Dodgers to get to Gallen, and even after he’s pulled. Arizona boasts one of the worst bullpens in the league, ranking 26th with a 4.73 combined ERA. Los Angeles has covered the run line in 4 straight games, and I’ll take them to do it again at a plus-money price.
