Atlanta Braves vs Detroit Tigers Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 09/21/25

The Atlanta Braves will look to complete the sweep against the Detroit Tigers on Sunday as they send Spencer Strider to the mound. On the season, Strider is 6-13 with a 4.64 ERA, however, he’s improved in his last couple of outings, going 1-2 with a 2.52 ERA in his last four starts. 

For the Tigers, they’ll counter with Casey Mize who enters with a 14-5 record and a 3.88 ERA. Mize has been one of the Tigers best pitchers all season, but he’s struggled in his last few outings, going 2-1 with a 5.03 ERA in his last four starts. This is a must win for the Tigers as they hold only a 1.5 game lead in the AL Central. Detroit has now lost eight of their last 10 games, and in that span, they’re averaging 3.4 runs per game compared to the Braves 6.2. At the end of the day, the Braves are playing like they’re a playoff contending team, the Tigers are not. Look for Atlanta to get the job done, making them my best bet of the day.
