Baltimore Orioles vs New York Yankees Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 09/28/25

It is the final day of the regular season, and there is still quite a bit to settle as far as the postseason picture is concerned. One of those major pieces is who will win the AL East, and with it, the #1 seed in the AL. Toronto and New York are tied thanks to a torrid finish by the Yankees, but the Blue Jays do control the tiebreaker if they finish the day tied. Regardless, this is a gotta-have-it game of the Yankees, and in those situations I am smashing it. Give me the Yankees on the money line, even at the juiced price.

Luis Gil will face Kyle Bradish. Both pitchers have been solid, and both have missed much of the season with injuries. Bradish just faced the Yankees a few days ago, and he stood tall for 6.0 innings of 1-run baseball. His team eventually lost in extra innings. Gil is not what he was during his rookie campaign, but he has been strong nonetheless. I have no doubt the Orioles are happy to play spoiler today, but the Yankees should come out swinging. I look for the offense to make an early statement and make sure they secure this win. They will have one eye on the scoreboard, no doubt, but give me the Yankees in a must-win spot, at home, with a playoff crowd behind them.
