Red Sox vs Astros Pickswise Expert Predictions

Boston Red Sox
Run Line Pick
BOS Red Sox +1.5(-155)

It’s time for Wednesday night baseball as the Boston Red Sox and Houston Astros wrap up their three-game series, and we’ve got your prediction right here! The Red Sox got their revenge last night, exploding for 14 runs on 13 hits, and they’ll look to keep the bats hot – but it won’t be easy. Taking the mound for the Astros will be Hunter Brown who enters with a 9-5 record and 2.51 ERA. However, Brown has regressed a little and over his last five starts, he’s 0-2 with a 3.76 ERA. He last faced Boston on August 1, where he pitched 7 innings, allowing just 1 earned run while striking out 6.

For the Red Sox, Walker Buehler gets the start with a 7-6 record and 5.40 ERA. After a rough start to the season, he’s shown improvement lately, going 1-0 with a 3.21 ERA over his last five starts. Buehler last faced Houston on August 2, where he allowed three earned runs on 9 hits, and he’ll need a stronger pitching performance tonight if he wants to give his team a chance to win.  If Boston wants to cover this run line, Buehler is going to have to be sharp. The Red Sox are more than capable of scoring runs, we’ve seen that in the second half of the season, and I think they’ll have their chances against Brown this evening. Look for Boston to come out swinging as they look to knock Brown out early in this one.

Red Sox vs Astros prediction: Red Sox +1.5  (-155) available at time of publishing. Playable at that number.
