Red Sox vs Yankees Pickswise Expert Predictions

Boston Red Sox
Money Line Pick
BOS Red Sox Win(+135)

The New York Yankees will need to clean up their defense tonight against the Red Sox if they want any shot at winning. Boston took  the opener 6-3, and the Yankees will turn to the left-hander Max Fried, who enters with a 13-5 record and a 3.26 ERA. For the Red Sox, Brayan Bello will get the start, who is 9-6 with a 3.23 ERA this season.

This will be the second time this season that Max Fried and Brayan Bello will square off against each other.  Their first meeting came back on June 15th, when Boston came away with the win. Fried threw seven innings, allowing two earned runs and struck out nine. For Bello, he pitched seven scoreless innings and struck out eight. The Yankees are averaging 5.9 runs per game over their last 12, slightly ahead of the Red Sox who are averaging 5.1 runs per game in that same span. The Yankees are big favorites in this one, and I can understand why based on the way they’ve been hitting the ball over the last week. However, the Red Sox have proven they can keep up with some of the best teams in baseball, and on Friday, I think the Red Sox will string together a few clutch hits and take advantage of a weak Yankees bullpen.

Red Sox vs Yankees prediction: Red Sox ML (+135) available at time of publishing. Playable at that number.
