Boston Red Sox vs Toronto Blue Jays Prediction, Odds and Picks for Wednesday, 09/24/25
Red Sox vs Blue Jays Pickswise Expert Predictions
We continue a huge AL East series as the Boston Red Sox face the Toronto Blue Jays again on Wednesday. Tuesday’s game went the way of the Sox, 4-1, and they are sending their ace to the mound on Wednesday. The Blue Jays have now lost 5 of their last 6, and their lead in the East has shrunk to only a single game over the Yankees. The Red Sox are also playing with urgency, as they are only barely clear in the wild-card standings. On Wednesday, I like the pitching advantage with Boston.
Garrett Crochet vs Max Scherzer is a definite advantage to the Red Sox. Crochet is near the top of the list of best pitchers in baseball this season, and he is the sort of guy that loves the pressure of a big game. His strikeout numbers have gone to the moon lately too, another indication of how hard he is battling out there. He will face 41-year-old Max Scherzer. Scherzer is a pitcher I want nothing to do with as a bettor. Boston hasn’t hit well lately, but it owns the clear advantage on the mound. As such, I will back the Sox in this one.
Red Sox vs Blue Jays prediction: Boston ML (-140) available at time of publishing. Playable at that number.
