Chicago Cubs
Money Line Pick
CHI Cubs Win(-110)

The Cubs will be eyeing a sweep on Sunday as they wrap up their road trip before heading back home to take on the Giants. On the road, the Cubs were an offensive juggernaut, outscoring their opponents 36-9 in a five game span. Sunday’s finale features a pitcher’s duel as both teams will be sending out their aces. Taking the mound for the Cubs will be Shota Imanaga who is 3-1 with a 2.77 ERA. The Brewers will send Freddy Peralta who is 3-2 with a 2.52 ERA. Peralta has been solid in his two starts at home this season, going 1-0 with a 0.69 ERA, but that was against the Royals and Athletics, and he’ll be put to the test against a Cubs lineup that’s been firing on all cylinders.

The Cubs lead the league in runs scored per game, averaging  6.1 runs, which will make it tough for the Brewers to keep pace as they’re averaging just 4.7. Milwaukee is in a bit of a funk right now, having gone 3-7 in their last 10 games, and the last thing they’ll want to do is get swept by a division rival. Offense hasn’t been the biggest problem for the Brewers this season – it’s been their pitching. They have a team ERA of 4.45, and with a bullpen ERA of 4.46, they’re hoping for Peralta to keep them in this game the best he can and avoid having to use their bullpen. At the end of the day, both pitchers have been terrific on the mound all season, but the edge goes to Chicago. The Cubs are swinging the bats just a bit better right now, and for that reason, I expect the Cubs to complete the sweep on Sunday.
