Chicago Cubs vs Milwaukee Brewers Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 10/11/25
Cubs vs Brewers Pickswise Expert Predictions
The Chicago Cubs face the Milwaukee Brewers in Game 5 of the NLDS. Normally I would cover the starting pitchers in the matchup, but it looks like both teams will be utilizing multiple pitchers throughout the game. With that being said, the Brewers’ pitching has been dominant all season. On the year, Milwaukee pitchers rank second in ERA (3.58) and third in runs scored (634). To top it off, the Brewers’ bullpen has only given up 3 runs through the 4 games of this series so far. While the Cubs’ pitching has been good this season, they are a clear step below the Brewers across the board.
Looking at the hitting, the Brewers ranked third in batting average, hits and runs scored on the season. The Brewers are also batting .260 with 19 runs through the 4 games of this series. The Cubs, on the other hand, have 22 runs through their 7 games of playoff competition. The Cubs’ hitting in the playoffs has been slightly worse than their hitting throughout the season when looking at the team batting average. Additionally, if we look at the previous 2 games of the series that were played in Milwaukee, we see that the Brewers outhit the Cubs 24 to 10. I think the Brewers’ home-field advantage in this one will play a major role. Overall, the Brewers were the best team in the MLB for a reason and they have a pitching and hitting edge in this one. I’m backing Milwaukee.
