Chicago White Sox vs Cleveland Guardians Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 09/12/25
White Sox vs Guardians Pickswise Expert Predictions
In this game, we will see the Chicago White Sox take on the Cleveland Guardians. The White Sox come into this one winning 3 of their last 4 while the Guardians have won 6 of their last 7. On the mound today, we have Martin Perez of the White Sox and Tanner Bibee of the Guardians. Perez is coming off a brutal start where he gave up 6 runs in just 4 innings against the Detroit Tigers. Prior to that start, he had given up 2 or fewer runs in 7 of his 8 starts. The most impressive thing about Perez, is that he has not given up more than 5 hits in any of his 5 starts. This is a wild statistic and has a strong possibility of continuing when he goes up against a Guardians lineup that rank last in the MLB with a .225 batting average on the season. The Guardians also rank 29th in runs scored at home this season with an average of 3.84. I suspect we will see another great outing for Perez.
For the Guardians, Bibee will take the mound. Bibee is coming off a great start but has struggled this season. On the year, he has a 4.69 ERA with a 9-11 record. He has also given up 3+ runs in 4 of his last 5 home starts. Bibee faced off against the White Sox earlier this year and gave up 4 runs through 5.1 innings. There is a chance we see numbers like this again because the White Sox are batting .240 over the last 6 games while averaging 4.66 runs per game. Outside of the starters, both bullpens have been very impressive over the past week. Given the pitching of Perez and the hitting struggles that have plagued the Guardians this year, I am taking the White Sox to get the win.
