Cleveland Guardians
Money Line Pick
The Athletics Win(+105)

It’s time for some Saturday night baseball as the Cleveland Guardians look to bounce back against the Athletics. Cleveland has now dropped 7 of its last 10, while Oakland has won 6 of its last 10. Offensively, the Guardians have been ice cold — ranked last in the league in runs per game over the past 15 days while averaging just 2.9. For the Athletics, they’re slightly better — averaging 4.1 runs per game during that same span.

Looking at tonight’s pitching matchup, the Guardians will be sending Luis Ortiz to the mound; he is 3-8 with a 4.64 ERA. Ortiz is coming off of back-to-back losses in which he allowed 10 runs in 10.2 innings pitched. For the Athletics, Mitch Spence will get the start; he is 2-1 with a 3.50 ERA. Spence recently moved from the bullpen into a starting role, so I don’t expect him to go too deep into tonight’s game. In his last 2 starts, Spence has allowed just 1 earned run in 10.0 innings pitched. With the Guardians inability to score runs and with Oritz struggling in his last few starts, I like the Athletics. Both teams have had their ups and downs this season, but Spence has been solid from the mound and the Athletics are more than capable of producing runs. Give me the A’s to get the job done, making them my best bet of the day.
