Detroit Tigers vs New York Yankees Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 09/10/25

The New York Yankees look to get back on track today against the Detroit Tigers after last night’s brutal 12-2 loss. Taking the mound for the Yankees will be the left-hander, Carlos Rodon, who enters with a 16-7 record and a 3.12 ERA. Rodon has been stellar as of late, going 5-0 with a 2.05 ERA in his last five starts. 

For the Tigers, Jack Flaherty will get the start, entering with a 7-13 record and 4.85 ERA. Flaherty has been inconsistent this season, but in two career starts against the Yankees, he’s 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA. The Yankees come into this game as one of the hottest offenses in baseball, averaging 6.1 runs per game over their last 15 compared to the Tigers 5.2. With Rodon on the mound, I trust New York far more in this spot than I do Flaherty. The Yankees should have no problem putting up runs early against Flaherty, and with Luke Weaver and Camilo Doval fully rested in the bullpen, they’re in a strong position to pick up a win in tonight’s matchup if Rodon can deliver a strong performance in tonight’s start.
