Detroit Tigers vs Pittsburgh Pirates Prediction, Odds and Picks for Tuesday, 07/22/25

For today’s YRFI/NRFI best bet, I’m targeting a quick inning in Tigers vs Pirates. The NRFI has hit in all 4 Tigers games since the all-star break. We get 2 great pitchers on the mound in Casey Mize and Mitch Keller. Pittsburgh is the worst-scoring 1st-inning offense in MLB this season and this Detroit offense is as cold as we’ve seen them this year. Mize has a 1.12 ERA in the 1st, allowing just 2 runs over 16 innings. Keller has a not-too-shabby 2.70 ERA in the 1st himself. Detroit is still without Kerry Carpenter, while Riley Greene and Spencer Torkelson usually get their HRs later in games. I like this game to open with a quick and easy 6 outs. Let’s roll!
