Astros vs Orioles Pickswise Expert Predictions

Houston Astros
Money Line Pick
HOU Astros Win(+110)

In this game, we will see the Houston Astros take on the Baltimore Orioles. The Astros have turned it around and won the previous 2 games. On the mound today, we have Christian Javier of the Astros and Dean Kremer of the Orioles. Javier has only pitched 8 innings this season giving up 6 hits and 3 runs. He pitched against the Orioles in his most recent start, but after 3 innings left the game with an illness. In that game, he gave up 3 hits and 1 run. Today, he will face an Orioles team that is batting .264 over the past 6 games. The issue with the Orioles in this series has been scoring runs. Through the past 2 games they have 22 hits with only 9 runs. I have a feeling that the scoring woes will continue for the Orioles with Javier on the mound.

For the Orioles, Kremer will get the start. Kremer Looked great in his last start, which was against the Astros. He went 7 innings giving up just 3 hits and 0 runs. While that was an incredible game, he has not pitched like this often. Kremer currently holds a 9-9 record with a 3.97 ERA. Additionally, the Astros have picked up their hitting in this series. Over the past 2 games, they have accrued 22 hits and 17 runs. I struggle to believe that Kremer can replicate the last start against a team that is hitting the ball this well. Outside of the starters, the Astros bullpen is statistically better even though both bullpens have given up 3 runs over the past 2 games. Overall, I struggle to see the Orioles as a favorite in this one, especially when considering that the Orioles have a losing home record while the Astros have a winning away record. I am taking the Astros to make it 3 in a row.
