Astros vs Blue Jays Pickswise Expert Predictions

Houston Astros
Money Line Pick
TOR Blue Jays Win(-135)

The Blue Jays pulled off a dramatic win last night, scoring two runs in the bottom of the ninth to tie it before walking it off in extra innings. Tonight, they’ll look to build on that momentum and extend their lead in the AL East, but it’ll hinge on the arm of Jose Berrios. Berrios enters this matchup with a 9-5 record and a 4.02 ERA, however, he’s struggled in his last three starts, going 0-1 with a 7.11 ERA.

For the Astros, they’ll turn to Jason Alexander, who enters with a 4-1 record and 4.68 ERA. Alexander has struggled recently, giving up eight runs on 21 hits over his last 16 innings. Honestly, I don’t necessarily trust either starter in tonight’s matchup, but the Blue Jays are 46-24 at home this season while the Astros are 35-35 on the road. Plus, Toronto has a lot more momentum than Houston right now as the Astros dropped seven of their last 10 and sit only one game up in the AL West. Look for Berrios and this Blue Jays offense get to Alexander early, delivering another crushing blow to the Astros.

Astros vs Blue Jays prediction: Blue Jays ML (-135) available at time of publishing. Playable at that number.
