Kansas City Royals vs Chicago White Sox Prediction, Odds and Picks for Monday, 08/25/25

In this game, we will see the Kansas City Royals take on the Chicago White Sox. Both teams are coming off high scoring wins yesterday. On the mound today, we have Noah Cameron of the Royals and Shane Smith of the White Sox. Cameron is having a great year with a 2.53 ERA and a 7-5 record. I suspect that we will see another similar start for Cameron even though the White Sox are batting .319 over the last 6 games. I say this because the White Sox faced the Minnesota Twins and the Atlanta Braves in those 6 games. These 2 teams rank 22^nd and 23^rd in pitching ERA on the season while the Royals rank 4^th. Basically, Cameron should have the skill and ability to shut down this White Sox offense.

Smith has struggled recently giving up 2+ earned runs in 8 of his last 9 starts while not making it through the 5^th inning in 6 of his last 9 starts. I think the Royals bat will be problematic for Smith. Outside of the starters, the White Sox bullpen has been struggling in some of the recent games. All in all, I believe that the Royals will be motivated in this one because they are 3 games back in the wild card race and Cameron is solid on the mound. I am taking the Royals to get the win.
