Kansas City Royals vs Cleveland Guardians Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 04/06/26

The Kansas City Royals face the Cleveland Guardians in Cleveland on Monday to begin a 3-game set. These teams have dealt with the weather more than anyone else in the early going, and it has been hard to find a rhythm. Rainouts, doubleheaders, cold, wind—they’ve seen it all already. It isn’t much better on Monday, as it will be in the 40s at first pitch with some wind and rain chances again. The pitching matchup is Michael Wacha vs Tanner Bibee, guys that are very familiar with their opponents. The Guardians are favored, but I am going to play the Royals on the Money Line at plus money.

Wacha missed his start over the weekend with an illness, but just backed up a couple of days in the rotation. His first start was fantastic, blanking the Braves over 6 innings. Bibee has been okay so far across two starts. He isn’t getting deep into game, but his results have been fine. It is worth noting that both Bobby Witt Jr and Vinny Pasquantino have seen Bibee a lot and have hit him hard, including a pair of homeruns each. The KC bullpen is messy, but if we get a strong start out of Wacha, the Royals could take this series opener.
