Kansas City Royals vs Philadelphia Phillies Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 09/14/25
Royals vs Phillies Pickswise Expert Predictions
The Kansas City Royals and Philadelphia Phillies cap off a series on Sunday afternoon from Citizen’s Bank. The Phillies won again on Saturday, pushing their winning streak to 6 in a row as they close in on another NL East crown. The Royals dropped below .500 and are now 7 games out of the wild card. The Royals are functionally dead in the water since everyone else above them is running hot right now, but Sunday would probably be a “last stand” situation. I think this is a sneaky spot to sniff around for an underdog upset play, and my Royals vs Phillies pick is the Royals to win the game at +135.
The pitching matchup is Noah Cameron vs Aaron Nola. Cameron is having a breakout rookie campaign that is surprising even the Royals’ brass, but he has also blown well past his previous high mark for innings in a season. There are some signs he might be tiring, but this guy keeps battling and defying the predictive metrics, so I am sticking with him. It helps that the Phillies are without Trea Turner and that none of the Phillies have ever seen Cameron. Nola, on the other hand, is still fighting to get back into form. There are a lot of ugly numbers on his season ledger, and a bunch of the Royals have experienced success against Nola in the past. Again, this is a spot where the underdog Royals could sneak in and steal a victory, and I think it is worth the play at a great price point.
Royals vs Phillies Prediction: Royals ML (+135) available at the time of publishing. Playable at that number.
