In this game, we will see the Kansas City Royals take on the Texas Rangers. The Royals won last night’s game 6-1. For today, we will see Kris Bubic of the Royals and Patrick Corbin of the Rangers take the mound. Bubic has pitched great this year with a 1.92 ERA through 13 starts. He did struggle in his recent start, where he gave up 5 runs in 4.1 innings against the New York Yankees. But prior to that game, he gave up 1 run or less in 6 straight starts. Bubic currently holds a record of 5-4, but that is mostly due to the hitting struggles of the Royals this year. The Royals have been a streaky team all season and had been on a 6-game losing streak. Luckily, the bats woke up for KC last night when they hit 3 home runs. With the bats turning it on, this could be a good showing for Bubic with the Rangers ranking 26th in batting average, 26th in runs scored and 27th in hits.

On the other side, we will see Patrick Corbin get the start. Corbin has surprised the baseball world a little this year with the improvements he has made. Last season, he held the worst ERA in the MLB while giving up the most hits and runs scored. While he has improved, he has given up 2+ runs in 7 straight starts. This could be good news for a Royals team that is building on the momentum from last night. Overall, I love when I get the chance to fade Corbin, as I am convinced he will revert back to last season’s form. I also believe that the Royals’ bats will stay alive in this one with Bubic dominating the mound. I am taking the Royals to make it 2 in a row.
