The Angels have taken two out of three against the Astros so far this series, and set to take the mound in the final game for the Angels will be the left-hander Yusei Kikuchi who enters with a 6-9 record and 3.68 ERA. 

For the Astros, Luis Garcia is expected to make his season debut. The last time he pitched in the majors was back in 2023, when he made six starts and posted a 4.00 ERA with a 1.30 WHIP across 27 innings. Offensively, Houston has been slumping, averaging just three runs per game over their last 14 games. For the Angels, they haven’t been much better, averaging just 3.2 runs per game over their last 13. In this matchup, I trust Kikuchi and the Angels a lot more than I do Garcia and the Astros. The Astros are struggling to get runners across the plate, and there’s no telling how Garcia will look in his first outing in two years. Look for Kikuchi to limit the damage done by this Houston lineup and for the Angels to secure a series win against their division rival, making them my best bet of the day.
