The Los Angeles Angels and Philadelphia Phillies finish a series on Sunday afternoon after splitting the first two games. The Angels won on Friday with a full-staff effort that used 7 pitchers. The Phillies evened the series on Saturday behind the power bats of Harper and Schwarber, both of whom are seeing the ball really well right now. On Sunday, this game seems to favor the Phillies heavily, and even though there is some early money flowing in on the Angels’ side, I cannot bring myself to walk that road. I don’t love the price tag, but my Angels vs Phillies pick is the Phillies on the Money Line.

Ranger Suarez will start for the Phillies. He allowed 3 runs in his previous start, breaking a 9-game streak of 2 runs or less. I expect him to get right back to business on Sunday. He will draw Jose Soriano. Soriano has allowed 5 runs or more in 3 of his last 4 starts. I do not want to sign up for that risk. Now admittedly, the Phillies’ bullpen has ruined a lot of good outings from their starters, but the LAA bullpen is actually worse, so let’s trust the most dependable thing in this game: Ranger Suarez. I’ll take the Phillies to win, even if I need to parlay it with something else at some point.
