Los Angeles Dodgers vs Colorado Rockies Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 08/19/25

The Dodgers enter tonight’s matchup against the Rockies as heavy favorites, and for good reason. They’ve been the much better team all season, while Colorado has been nothing but a dumpster fire for most of it. However, this Rockies team has shown signs of life over the past week, playing some of their best baseball of late, which could make them worth a look in this one. 

Taking the mound for the Dodgers will be Emmet Sheehan who enters with a 3-2 record and 3.86 ERA. Sheehan is coming off a rough outing against the Angels where he gave up five runs in just five innings pitched. For the Rockies, Austin Gomber will get the nod who enters with a 0-6 record and 6.75 ERA. In the Dodgers last eight games, they’ve only outscored their opponents 36-35, winning just one of those by more than a run. As for the Rockies, they’ve outscored their opponents 37-34 in that same span and have only lost one of their last eight by one or more runs. I get it, it’s hard to trust Gomber and this Rockies team, but they’re playing some great baseball right now and there’s a lot of value still even at the run line.
