Los Angeles Dodgers vs Milwaukee Brewers Prediction, Odds and NLCS Game 1 Picks for Today, 10/13/25

It is finally here, Game 1 of the National League Championship Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Milwaukee Brewers. The Dodgers are coming off a 4-game series against the Philadelphia Phillies, while the Brewers went 5 games against the Chicago Cubs. For the Dodgers, they will be starting their trusted veteran, Blake Snell. Snell has looked great through his first 2 playoff starts, pitching 13 innings and giving up just 5 hits and 2 earned runs. The issue is that he will be going up against a Brewers lineup that is batting .250 in the playoffs with 22 runs through 5 games. To make matters worse, the Brewers .303 with 19 of those runs coming in the 3 home games they have played. The Brewers’ home-field advantage has been a dominant force all year as they are 52-29 on the season in their home ballpark. This may not be an ideal game for Snell in a hostile environment.

On the Brewers’ side, they are undecided on their pitching for Game 1. Peralta is set to start Game 2, meaning we will most likely see a form of a bullpen game including Quinn Priester. The good news for the Brewers is that their bullpen has a 1.20 ERA in the playoffs only giving up 4 runs through their 5 games. Additionally, the bullpen ranked 6th all season with a 3.63 ERA. This is an interesting aspect to this series, as the Dodgers bullpen has struggled all season and given up 13 runs through their 6 playoff games. With such a large advantage, it is hard for me to trust the Dodgers unless their bats can put the game away early. With that being said, I have a feeling the Brewers’ bats at home will make it a short night for Snell and force the Dodgers to bring out the struggling bullpen pitchers early. I am rolling with the Brewers to win Game 1.
