Los Angeles Dodgers vs Toronto Blue Jays Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 10/31/25

The World Series resumes on Friday night in Toronto as the Toronto Blue Jays hold a 3-2 series lead over the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Jays now only need to win 1 of the remaining 2 games in front of their home crowd to shock the world and take the title. The Dodgers will be in desperation mode, and it will be all hands on deck with every available arm ready to go — and lots of mixing and matching for favorable hitting matchups. Excitement will be running high in Toronto all weekend, but I think the series is destined to go all 7 games. I am taking the Dodgers to win Game 6.

The biggest factor to consider in this game is the pitching matchup. Yoshinobu Yamamoto has been terrific — indeed nearly perfect — in this postseason. He has tossed 2 consecutive 9-inning games, including Game 2 a week ago in Toronto when he shut down the Blue Jays for a 5-1 win. While expecting him to go 9 again is a tall order, there is no reason for him to be any less dominant — and the longer the Dodgers can avoid using their vulnerable bullpen, the better. On the other side is Kevin Gausman. He has drastically outkicked his coverage in the postseason, overperforming on basically every metric. I don’t know how long he can keep that up, and I suspect he might get chased early. But here is the thing: if Gausman gives up some early runs and Yamamoto is dominant, the Jays may well sit on their arms and hold them for Game 7 while letting the Dodgers fire everything they have just to get there. That is what I am expecting, followed by a Blue Jays win in Game 7. But for Game 6, give me Yamamoto and the Dodgers to even the series.
