Miami Marlins vs Texas Rangers Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 09/19/25

The Rangers now sit 4 games back in the AL Wild Card race after dropping their last 4 games. Texas enters this series after getting swept on the road at Houston, but Bruce Bochy’s squad will be happy to be back at home in Arlington to host the Marlins. The Rangers have pretty staggering home and away splits this season, as they are a strong 47-28 at home but just 32-46 on the road. It also helps that they will send Tyler Mahle to the mound in this one. Mahle is returning from a stint on the IL, but has been exceptional at home this season. The veteran right-hander owns a 0.82 ERA and .169 BAA in 8 starts at Globe Life Field so far this season. The Marlins have struggled to score runs on a consistent basis all season long, and after an off day on Thursday, the bullpen behind Mahle will be rested and ready to go.

Janson Junk will oppose Mahle on the mound for Miami. It’s been a tough season for Junk, who enters this matchup with a 4.48 ERA and .274 BAA through 98.1 innings so far this season. He will be making his first road start since August 17, and has a tough assignment going up against a Texas team who is great at home and will have a high sense of urgency.
