The Milwaukee Brewers will take on the Kansas City Royals in a double header Saturday. Looking at the second leg of the double header, on the mound will be Brandon Sproat of the Brewers and Seth Lugo of the Royals. Sproat Struggled in his firs start only pitching 3 innings against the Chicago White Sox while giving up 6 hits and 7 runs. Sproat was not hoping for a start like that in his opening game, but it is almost becoming the standard. Since starting in the MLB, he has pitched in 5 games and has given up 3 or more runs in 4 of those starts. This will be good news for a Royals team that has won 3 of their last 4 while scoring 21 runs in that time.

For the Royals, Lugo will take the mound and he looked incredible in his first start. He faced the Atlanta Braves and went 6.1 innings only giving up 5 hits and no earned runs. Lugo has been a stable pitcher for the Royals and has a good track record against the Brewers lineup. In his career, the Brewers lineup is batting .186 against him with only 11 hits through 59 at-bats. The major issue for the Royals has been their bullpen this season. The Royals bullpen gave up 10 runs over their last 3 game series. This is not good news against the top scoring team in the MLB. Overall, I think Lugo regresses, the Royals bullpen continues to struggle, and Sproat will give up runs. I am rolling with the over.

Brewers vs. Royals Prediction: Over 8.0 (-120) available at the time of publishing. Playable at that number.
