Milwaukee Brewers vs Pittsburgh Pirates Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 09/05/25

The Milwaukee Brewers will make their way to Pittsburgh to take on the Pirates, and we’ve got your prediction right here! The Brewers lost two out of three against the Phillies, while Pittsburgh is riding high after sweeping the Dodgers and winning seven of their last 10 games. The Brewers still hold a 5.5 game lead in the NL Central, but they shouldn’t get too comfy as this could be a difficult series for them as Pittsburgh is playing some of their best baseball of the season right now. 

Taking the mound for the Brewers will be Quinn Priester, who enters with a 11-2 record and 3.28 ERA. For the Pirates, Johan Oviedo gets the nod, entering with a 2-0 record and 3.60 ERA. Offensively, Milwaukee has cooled off a bit, averaging 5.1 runs per game in their last 10, slightly above the Pirates 5.0 runs per game in that span. Oviedo doesn’t typically go deep into his starts, and with this Pittsburgh bullpen being heavily utilized over the last few days, I expect fatigue to be a factor. Look for the Brewers to pick up the win in tonight’s matchup, making them my best bet of the day.
