It is getaway day in Arlington as the Milwaukee Brewers and Texas Rangers conclude a series on Wednesday afternoon. The Rangers have won the first two games in the series as they continue to surge their way into the playoff hunt. The Brewers are looking to salvage a win in the series while also becoming the first 90-win team in baseball (and they almost certainly will do that regardless, even if not on Wednesday). But this is a Freddy Peralta day, and that is a horse I will keep on backing. Give me the Brewers to win, and that is a best bet for me to get the day started.

Freddy Peralta has a 5-game, 28-inning scoreless streak going. He has been the most dominant pitcher in baseball for almost a month now. The streak will come to an end eventually, but even if it happens here, it is just as likely to be a 1 or 2 run outing, not a blow-up start. It is also hard to see how the Rangers’ offense keeps succeeding without Corey Seager, Marcus Semien, and Adolis Garcia in the middle of the order. They keep defying me, but I can’t get behind that lineup. The Brewers will face Merrill Kelly, who has been perfectly fine as a starter, but I just never want to trust him. I think he will give up enough, and Peralta shouldn’t need much. I am all-in on the Brew Crew on Wednesday.
