Minnesota Twins vs Kansas City Royals Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 09/07/25

The Kansas City Royals have won three in a row and now sit only one game out of the final spot in the AL Wild Card standings. Taking the mound for the Royals will be Michael Lorenzen, entering with a 5-9 record and a 4.54 ERA. Lorenzen has been up and down this season, and in his last three starts, he’s 0-1 with a 5.28 ERA. 

For the Twins, they’ll counter with Bailey Ober, who enters with a 4-7 record and 5.23 ERA. Ober hasn’t been much better, and when we look at his last 3 starts, he’s 0-0 with a 5.74 ERA. Offensively, both of these teams are pretty identical for the last 10 games with the Royals averaging 4.4 runs per game compared to the Twins 4.7. This will be a great matchup between division rivals, however, the Royals are fighting for a playoff spot and will have the home crowd advantage. Look for the Royals to complete the sweep before starting their seven game road trip.
