Minnesota Twins vs Kansas City Royals Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 03/30/26

After inconsistent starts to the season, the Minnesota Twins and Kansas City Royals will look to turn things around as they open up a three-game series. The Royals managed to avoid a sweep against the Braves, picking up a 4-1 victory on Sunday. As for the Twins, they’re coming off a 8-6 loss to the Orioles. While it’s still a small sample size, Kansas City has struggled offensively to begin the year. Vinnie Pasquantino is batting just .182, Salvador Perez is hitting .167, and the lone bright spot has been Bobby Witt Jr., who’s hitting .364. As a team, the Royals rank 28th in OPS (.518) and will look to get things going at home. The Twins haven’t been much better, but they’ve still been more productive, ranking 19th in OPS (.673). 

Taking the mound for Minnesota is Simeon Woods Richardson, who went 7-4 with a 4.04 ERA last season. However, he struggled on the road, posting a 5.19 ERA while allowing 46 hits in 50.1 innings. For Kansas City, left-hander Kris Bubic gets the start, coming off an All-Star campaign in which he posted a 2.55 ERA. Both bullpens have had issues early on, with the Royals holding a 9.0 ERA and the Twins at 5.56 through their first few games. Still, this matchup favors Kansas City on the mound, especially with Bubic coming off a dominant spring where he posted a 0.75 ERA over 12 innings. With the pitching edge and home-field advantage, look for the Royals to take care of business and get back to .500.
