Minnesota Twins vs Texas Rangers Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 09/23/25
Twins vs Rangers Pickswise Expert Predictions
The Minnesota Twins head to Arlington on Tuesday to face the Texas Rangers as the season winds down its final week. Both teams are ready for things to end, and that makes this game really difficult to project. The Twins have not won a series all month, and their roster is a shell of what it was at the start of the season. The Rangers got hot for a minute, but they have cratered down the stretch. They have now lost 7 in a row, including sweeps at the hands of the Astros and Marlins. At this point in the season, the Rangers’ offense is essentially three stacked raccoons in a trench coat, just trying to masquerade as a Major League lineup. On Tuesday, I expect a deflated effort from both offenses, and I hate both starting pitchers, so I don’t know what you would do with this game. But I am going to cast my lot—very, very lightly, mind you—with the underdog, and just see if we can swipe a plus-money win.
The aforementioned pitchers are Zebby Matthews and Patrick Corbin. Matthews has an ERA threatening 6.00, and he has been a disaster in most of his starts. The Twins are invested in him for now, but there just isn’t much here. Patrick Corbin has been one of the worst starters in the league for several years now, and although he had a bit of a resurgence this season somehow, I do not trust him at all. He could blow up at any point. You can’t trust either of these guys. You can’t trust the lineups or the bullpens either. What I do know is this: the Rangers have been one of the lowest scoring offenses all season, and that was when they still had Seager, Semien, and Garcia in the lineup. Now, I have to look up the names of half their guys, and that isn’t good for business. Let’s just see if the Twins can pull one off here.
