New York Yankees vs Baltimore Orioles Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 09/20/25

The New York Yankees can’t afford to drop games against weaker opponents if they want to close the gap on the Blue Jays in the AL East standings. The Orioles took game one of this four-game series, looking to spoil the Yankees chance at a division title and a Wild Card spot.  Today, the Orioles will send Tomoyuki Sugano to the mound who enters with a 10-8 record and a 4.39 ERA. 

For the Yankees, Carlos Rodon will get the nod, entering with a 16-9 record and a 3.11 ERA. Rodon has lost back-to-back starts, but in those games, he didn’t pitch terribly. He allowed just two runs in each of those starts, but the Yankees struggled to provide run support. Today, the Yankees should be able to take advantage against Sugano who hasn’t won since August 14 and is 0-3 with a 7.36 ERA in his last four starts. Look for New York to rebound in this matchup and provide Rodon with the run support he needs, making New York my best bet of the day.
