New York Yankees
Run Line Pick
NY Yankees -1.5(-120)

The Yankees have to be scratching their heads after Saturday’s loss, and now they will look to avoid getting swept by the Red Sox on Sunday afternoon. Boston is just 1 win away from climbing back above .500 — a mark it hasn’t reached since May 12. The Yankees are expected to send the left-hander Max Fried to the mound and he has been dominant all season with a 9-1 record and a 1.84 ERA.

The Red Sox love hitting lefties this season, ranking second in the majors with a .272 batting average. Boston will look to jump on Max Fried early on, forcing the Yankees to go with their bullpen that has been heavily utilized in their last 3 games, but it won’t be easy. Brayan Bello will take the mound for Boston. He is 2-1 with a 3.96 ERA. While the Red Sox have been playing well, it’s hard to go against Fried — who has only struggled once all season and that was against the Dodgers. Bello has struggled at Fenway, and in his last 2 starts at home he has given up 6 earned runs in 12.1 innings. There’s nothing the Red Sox would love more than to sweep their division rivals, but I think Fried delivers a strong outing and helps the Yankees avoid the sweep. Give me the Yankees to win by at least 2 in today’s matchup.
