New York is coming off a dominating performance against the A’s, taking 2 out of 3 and outscoring them 29-15. Seattle, on the other hand, is looking to rebound after being swept by the Blue Jays and getting outscored 21-7 in their series. The Yankees are expected to send Clarke Schmidt to the mound, who is 0-1 with a 4.79 ERA this season. For Seattle, Emerson Hancock is expected to get the start, who is 1-1 with a 5.70 ERA.
Aaron Judge continues to put together an MVP season as the Yankees’ captain has an OPS of 1.361 and has hit 7 homers in his last 14 games. But it’s not just Judge that’s a threat in this lineup today — Paul Goldschmidt is also swinging a hot bat in his last 14 games, batting .321 with 3 homers. Seattle’s hottest player right now is J.P.
