New York Yankees vs St. Louis Cardinals Prediction, Odds and Picks for Sunday, 08/17/25

It’s time for some Sunday baseball, as the New York Yankees get ready to take on the St. Louis Cardinals. We have a Yankees vs Cardinals prediction right here. The Yankees have taken care of business in this series against the Cardinals, and today they’ll look to complete the sweep as they send Will Warren to the mound. On the season, Warren holds a 7-5 record, 4.34 ERA and 1.37 WHIP.

For the Cardinals, they’ll look for Miles Mikolas to try and stop the bleeding; he enters with a 6-9 record, 4.97 ERA and 1.28 WHIP. The Yankees’ offense has come to life in this series, but their pitching still remains an issue as they’ve given up 11 runs in their last two games. Mikolas hasn’t been able to go deep into his starts this season, and I expect New York can get to him early on in this matchup, forcing the Cardinals to go to their bullpen that has been heavily utilized in the last couple of days. Look for the Yankees to roll, making them my best bet of the day.
