Yankees vs Rays Pickswise Expert Predictions

New York Yankees
Money Line Pick
NY Yankees Win(-150)

The New York Yankees will make a quick trip to Tampa to take on the Rays for a two-game series. Coming off a three-game series sweep against the Cardinals, the Yankees are looking to keep things rolling before they open an important four-game series against the Boston Red Sox on Thursday. Taking the mound for New York will be Carlos Rodon who enters with a 12-7 record and 3.25 ERA.

For the Rays, they’ll send Shane Baz to the mound who enters with a 8-9 record and 4.93 ERA. Baz has struggled lately, not winning a game since June 26th and in his last five games, he’s 0-4 with a 8.28 ERA. The Rays were one of the hottest hitting teams in the first half of the season, but over the last 30 days, Tampa Bay is averaging just 3.5 runs per game which puts them last in the majors. As for the Yankees, they’re slightly better with 4.6 runs per game. Taking everything into consideration, the Yankees should be able to get to Baz early on in this one and Rodon shouldn’t have too much trouble against this weak Rays team.

Yankees vs Rays prediction: Yankees ML (-150) available at time of publishing. Playable at that number.
