The New York Yankees and Toronto Blue Jays continue a series on Tuesday night in Toronto, after the Blue Jays took the first game in the series on Monday night, 5-4. Over the past couple of weeks, the Jays have played much better baseball than the slumping Yankees, as the Yankees have had trouble scoring, in particular. That is enough to keep me away from chasing the Run Line in this game, but I do think this is a game the Yankees should win, so my Yankees vs Blue Jays pick is the Yankees on the Money Line.

I trust Max Fried far more than Kevin Gausman at the moment. Fried has been the best starter for the Yankees this season, and he has been a quality start machine, delivering 5 of them in a row now. He also shut down Toronto when he saw them earlier in the season, and the Jays are also likely missing Bo Bichette on Tuesday, because he stepped on a baseball in pregame warmups Monday and hurt his knee. I mean, I guess that can happen, but it always surprises me when it happens to professional athletes. Anyway, missing Bichette hurts. Gausman, for his part, was great in his last start, but that was an outlier for his season as a whole. It also helps that the Yankees did not use any of their better bullpen arms Monday. I think this is a spot where the Yankees win, so I’ll take New York on the money line.
