San Francisco Giants
Run Line Pick
NY Mets Win -1.5(+105)

In this game, we will see the San Francisco Giants take on the New York Mets. Last night, the Giants won by a score of 4-3. On the mound today, we will see Kai-Wei Teng of the Giants and Kodai Senga of the Mets. Teng is a young pitcher with a lack of experience. Last season he pitched in 4 games giving up 12 runs in 11 innings. This season he holds a 3.67 ERA through 54 innings at the AAA level. With so few numbers it is hard to know what to expect in today’s game. I suspect that he will pitch a couple of innings while giving up a couple of runs to a Mets team that is 37-17 at home. I believe that Teng will be just what the Mets need to get out of the hitting slump that they have been in.

On the mound for the Mets we will see Senga. Senga has a 7-3 record with a 2.00 ERA on the season. While these numbers are great, he has hit a snag in his last 2 starts. In those starts, he has given up 7 runs in 8 innings pitched. The encouraging thing is that the Mets have won the game in his last 7 starts. Another piece of encouragement is that he will be going up against a Giants lineup that bats .232 on the season. The hitting woes of the Giants seem to be a constant this season. Outside of the starters, the Giants bullpen has been great all season while the Mets bullpen has been playing very well in recent form. Overall, I suspect that this game is just what Senga and the Mets need to get this baseball team back in the form we expect of them. I am rolling with the Mets to win on the run line.
