St. Louis Cardinals vs Cincinnati Reds Prediction, Odds and Picks for Saturday, 08/30/25

The St. Louis Cardinals and Cincinnati Reds are set to square off, with St. Louis hoping to keep things rolling against this struggling Reds team. The Reds have now dropped seven of their last ten games, and tonight, they’ll be sending Andrew Abbott to the mound who hopes to get back to his normal ways. The left-hander enters this game with a 8-4 record and 2.62 ERA. 

The Cardinals will counter with Michael McGreevy who enters with a 5-2 record and 4.43 ERA. The Reds offense has cooled off tremendously, and in their last 10 games, they’re averaging just 3.2 runs per game and have a 4.14 ERA. For the Cardinals, their offense is slightly better, producing 4.6 runs per game, but they have a  team 4.81 ERA in that same span. This is a tough spot for the Reds, especially since Abbott hasn’t won a game since July 9th and has struggled in his last four starts, going 0-3 with a 4.62 ERA. The Reds should be favored here as they’re the better team, however, knowing how Abbott has struggled and with the Reds unable to produce any runs, I’m going to back the Cardinals in this one as I expect them to steal another game on the Reds home turf.
