Tampa Bay Rays vs Cleveland Guardians Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 08/25/25

The Cleveland Guardians need to turn things around quickly if they want any chance at a postseason push. They’ve dropped five straight and eight of their last ten, slipping five games back of the final AL Wild Card spot. During that span, the Guardians offense has struggled, averaging 2.7 runs per game and have a team ERA of 4.38. As for the Rays, they’re averaging 4.6 runs per game in their last ten, while holding a team ERA of 5.16. 

Spending the entire year in the bullpen, Ian Seymour will make his first start of the season for Tampa Bay, entering with a 1-0 record and 3.86 ERA. For the Guardians, Tanner Bibee will get the nod who enters with a 9-9 record and 4.62 ERA. One thing to know about when Bibee takes the mound, he’s most likely to give up some runs, which could be a problem for this Cleveland team that’s averaging just 2.7 runs per game right now. In Bibee’s last five games, he’s given up 20 runs and 32 hits in 26.1 innings pitched. Neither team is playing great baseball right now, however, with a rested bullpen, I’m going to lean towards Tampa Bay to steal a win on Monday night.
