The Milwaukee Brewers host the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday in the second game of this series. Tampa won the first game, 3-2, after plating a run in the top of the 9th off the Milwaukee closer. On Tuesday, we get two starting pitchers working their way back from injuries, which introduces some unpredictability into the equation. That sounds like a good enough reason to take a ticket on the plus money underdog, and in this case, that is the Rays. Give me to Rays to win.

Shane McClanahan last pitched on August 2, 2023. He missed 2024 with Tommy John, then had a freak nerve injury that cost him the 2025 season. This will be an emotional start for former ace. He has looked strong in the spring, and hopes are high in Tampa. On the other side is Brandon Woodruff. Woody has dealt with a lat injury throughout the spring but has been cleared to pitch at the back of the rotation. I am siding with McClanahan as the better pitcher in this contest, and I want to root for him tonight. Let’s also remember that this Milwaukee lineup is still missing Jackson Chourio and seems a little thin without him. They got the soft opening with the White Sox, but the Rays already got them last night and worked the bullpen in the process. I think the Rays take another one here.
