Tampa Bay Rays vs Minnesota Twins Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 04/05/26

The Tampa Bay Rays and Minnesota Twins will square off in the rubber match of this three-game series. The Rays are coming off a dominant 7-1 win last night where they scored seven runs on 10 hits as they look to carry that offensive momentum into this matchup. On the season, the Rays rank 5th in batting average (.270) compared to the Twins who rank 23rd (.204). This young Rays lineup has been impressive early on, but their pitching, particularly the bullpen, has been a major concern.  

Tampa Bay enters with a 5.27 team ERA, including a troubling 9.24 ERA from the bullpen. The Rays have multiple hitters producing at a high level, led by Yandy Diaz who is batting .424 this season, Chandler Simpson hitting .414., and if Nick Fortes gets the start today, he’s batting .348. Minnesota has struggled to find consistency at the plate, with Luke Keaschall leading the team at just .250. Even with the pitching concerns on both sides, Tampa Bay’s ability to generate offense gives them the edge. Look for the Rays to stay aggressive at the plate and outscore the Twins in this one, making Tampa Bay my best bet of the day.
