Rays vs Yankees Pickswise Expert Predictions

Tampa Bay Rays
Run Line Pick
NY Yankees Win -1.5(+110)

The Yankees will look to close out their series against the Rays on a high note after a tough loss on Saturday. An error by Anthony Volpe in the 8th inning proved costly, giving the Rays a 3-2 lead that ultimately sealed the game. The Yankees will be without Jazz Chisholm for an extended period of time and Boone is expected to start Jorbit Vivas at second for the majority of the time. Vivas has yet to record a hit this season, but in spring training, he batted .423, which could be promising in the days ahead.

Taking the mound will be Will Warren who is 1-1 with a 5.63 ERA this season. Warren struggled in his last start against the Orioles where he gave up four earned runs on six hits in just 3.1 innings pitched. For the Rays, they’ll be sending Taj Bradley who is 2-2 with a 4.58 ERA. Bradley has had his ups and downs this season, but in his last start against the Royals, he picked up the loss after pitching seven innings and giving up just two earned runs on five hits. The last thing the Yankees want to do is lose back-to-back series, but Warren has yet to prove himself this season. However, despite Warren’s struggles, the Rays have only scored six runs in their last five games. Aaron Judge is having himself a MVP season and this Yankees lineup is more than capable of producing runs. At the end of the day, I trust the Yankees more than I do the Rays, which is why I’ll be backing the Yankees run line at the end of the day.
