Luckily, the Giants rank 27th in home runs this season and at home. Additionally, the Giants come into this one batting .196 and scoring 10 runs over the past 6 games. Numbers like these can make any pitcher look good.

For the Giants, Webb has been a shining light for the Giants this season — although that has changed of late. Over his past 5 starts, he has pitched 28.0 innings while giving up 39 hits and 16 earned runs. Hit numbers like this scare me any time I look at a game. Even pitchers good at limiting runs cannot do much when they are surrendering almost 8 hits per start. Opposing Webb will be a Rays lineup that is batting .259 and averaging 4.5 runs per game over the past 6 games. Outside of the starters, both teams bring very good bullpens into this one. Overall, I suspect that Pepiot will pitch well since the Giants struggle to hit home runs while the Rays bats make solid contact with Webb. I’m taking the Rays to pull off the sweep.
