Rangers vs Orioles Pickswise Expert Predictions
The Tuesday slate gets started with the Texas Rangers vs Baltimore Orioles. Temperatures are absolutely scorching in the northeast on Tuesday, and this game may well begin at 100 degrees. No one is going to be happy out there on Tuesday. On Monday, the Orioles blanked the Rangers, 6-0, behind a gem of a game from Trevor Rogers. That one seemed to come out of nowhere to me, but it was typical of the season-long offensive struggles of the Rangers. On Tuesday, I love the high run total, because I am happy to continue to bet on the Rangers to struggle at the dish. My Rangers vs Orioles pick is the game total under 10.
Charlie Morton figured something out a few weeks ago, and he has been terrific since. Since returning to the rotation, he has been great in 4 of his 5 starts. I’m fine trusting Morton against the Rangers, and with a fully rested bullpen behind him too. The Rangers, on the other hand, will go with something of a bullpen game. Jacob Latz, a lefty, looks to make the start, and at least being a lefty puts the Orioles in what should be their weaker platoon. The Orioles have gotten hot lately, but they don’t blow out the scoreboard every night. This game has a high total because of the heat and some questionable pitching situations, but I like this one to stay under.
Rangers vs Orioles prediction: Under 10 (-110) available at time of publishing. Playable at that number.
