Texas Rangers vs Baltimore Orioles Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 03/30/26

The Baltimore Orioles host the Texas Rangers to begin the week. Both teams won 2 of 3 in their opening series, with the O’s taking care of the Twins at home while the Rangers had a tough opening series in Philadelphia. The Orioles did the damage with their bats, and nearly the entire lineup got off to a hot start on opening weekend. The Rangers did enough, but they are still waiting on a couple of sticks to get going. Monday’s pitching matchup is Jack Leiter vs Chris Bassitt. I like Leiter, and he has a tough challenge in cooling off the Baltimore bats, but I am taking the Rangers to win this game at plus money.

On the mound, I like Leiter far more than Bassitt. The 37-year-old Bassitt is on the downward arc of his career, and Baltimore is hoping to squeeze out a little more juice from him at the back end of their rotation. Leiter is on the rise, and the key to his success is avoiding walks. If Leiter stays in the zone, he doesn’t give up much hard contact. Both teams used a lot of bullpen innings over the weekend, and that will no doubt be a factor again on Monday, but I am looking for a strong start from Leiter and a couple of Ranger bats to finally get going. I’ll take Texas in this spot.
