Rangers vs Yankees Pickswise Expert Predictions
The Yankees walked it off on Wednesday night thanks to Jasson Dominguez, who launched a solo blast to right field to win it for the Bronx Bombers. New York will look to secure a series win against the Rangers on Thursday, but they’ll have their hands full when they face Nathan Eovaldi. Eovaldi is 4-2 with a 1.61 ERA on the season, and it’s worth noting he hasn’t allowed a run over his last 12.2 innings.
Carlos Rodon will get the start for the Yankees, who is 5-3 with a 3.17 ERA this season. The Rangers have struggled against lefties this season, batting just .221 with 14 home runs. We haven’t seen too many runs scored in this series, and looking at this pitching matchup, I don’t expect that to change this afternoon. Eovaldi has allowed just 13 runs in 61.1 innings this season, and with the Rangers struggling against lefties and only averaging 3.4 runs per game, I think the Under is worth a look. Look for a pitchers’ duel between Rodon and Eovaldi, with runs likely to be tough to come by in the final game of the series.
