The Athletics vs Minnesota Twins Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 08/20/25

With game one in the books, the A’s look to keep things rolling against a struggling Twins team. The A’s defeated the Twins 6-3 last night and should have another chance to put up some runs against Bailey Ober, who has struggled for the Twins this season. Ober enters with a 4-7 record and a 5.15 ERA, but he hasn’t picked up a win since May 3rd. He could be in for a long night ahead as he’s set to face an A’s team that’s averaging 6.1 runs per game over their last 13 contests. 

Taking the mound for the A’s tonight will be J.T. Ginn, who enters with a 2-5 record and 5.04 ERA. Just like Ober, Ginn has struggled this season, but more so in his last three starts, going 0-3 with a 9.53 ERA. However, the Twins offense is not what it used to be as they’re averaging 4.2 runs per game over their last 13. At the end of the day, I like the way this A’s team is playing, and I can’t trust this Twins team who pretty much threw away their season at the trade deadline.
