Warren has improved drastically over his last three starts, posting a 2.50 ERA with 21 strikeouts over 18 innings pitched. 

For the A’s, Mitch Spence will be making his fifth start on the season after beginning the year in the bullpen. Through 4 starts, Spence is 2-2 with a 3.84 ERA. While the Yankees offense has struggled at times lately, the A’s have been even less productive at the plate. The Yankees are averaging 4.7 runs per game over their last six, compared to the A’s 2.3. To make matters worse for the A’s, they have the worst bullpen ERA in the majors sitting at 6.01, compared to the Yankees who have a 3.53 bullpen ERA. We all know Warren has struggled at times this season, but Mitch Spence doesn’t typically go past 5 innings in any start, so that means the Yankees will be seeing the A’s bullpen early on. The Yankees best opportunity to score some runs will be against the A’s bullpen, and I think that’ll be the biggest difference maker here. Look for the Yankees to win by more than one run in Friday’s matchup, making New York my best bet of the day.
