Blue Jays vs Pirates Pickswise Expert Predictions

Toronto Blue Jays
Money Line Pick
TOR Blue Jays Win(-150)

We have the Toronto Blue Jays vs the Pittsburgh Pirates on Tuesday. The Pirate won Monday’s contest on Skenes day, and I imagine that should pretty much be it for the Pirates this series. I think this game is one of those late-season spots where we need to be careful not to overthink things, and let’s just take what should be easy money on the table in a spot that shouldn’t draw a lot of market attention. The Blue Jays are the far better team, and they should bounce back from the tough spot on Monday. Give me the simple play, the Blue Jays on the Money Line.

Max Scherzer has found a rhythm lately. I thought for sure he was finally done, but he revved it back up one more time for the stretch run. The grizzled veteran may have lost a tick or two on the fastball, but he has turned in 4 straight quality starts, and 3 of those were against likely playoff teams (Cubs, Dodgers, Tigers). One imagines the Pirates are a much simpler test today. On the other side is Mitch Keller. I like Keller, but he has had a couple of tough assignments lately, having to pitch at Milwaukee and at Colorado in 2 of his last 3 starts. I don’t expect the Blue Jays to blow him up necessarily, but this is a spot where the better team just ought to come through with the win. Give me Scherzer and the Jays on Tuesday.

Blue Jays vs Pirates Prediction: Blue Jays ML (-150) available at the time of publishing. Playable at that number.
