Toronto Blue Jays vs Tampa Bay Rays Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 09/15/25
Blue Jays vs Rays Pickswise Expert Predictions
It’s an AL East division battle as the Toronto Blue Jays make their way to Tampa Bay to take on the Rays. With 13 games left in the season for the Rays, their playoff hopes are dwindling as they sit 7.5 games behind in the AL Wild Card. With a decent lead in the AL East, the Blue Jays are expected to send top prospect Trey Yesavage to the mound to face the Rays. In Triple-A, the right-hander went 5-1 with a 3.12 ERA in 22 starts.
For the Rays, they still haven’t officially stated who their starter will be, but they’ll likely hand the ball over to Joe Boyle who enters with a 1-3 record and a 5.40 ERA. Offensively, the Blue Jays have a significant advantage, averaging 5.8 runs per game over their last 10 compared to the Rays 3.1. This almost seems like a throw away game for the Rays, and no matter who they put on the mound, they’ll have their work cut out for them when they face players like Vladimir Guerrero who has a 1.197 OPS in his last 12 games, and George Springer who has a 1.153 OPS in that same span. It’s hard to gauge how Yesavage will perform in his MLB debut, but I trust this Blue Jays offense to get the job done, making them my best bet of the day.
